Born June 15, 1935, in Owen County, he was the son of the late Foster and Ollie Florence Cobb Burke and the widower of Pauline Jo Burke. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Burke. Mr. Burke was a farmer, a member of the Baptist faith and served in country in the United States Air Force.
Surviving are his two sons, Timmy (Tammy) Burke and Terry (April) Burke; his brother, Kirby Burke; his sister, Sue Gaines and his two grandsons, Justin and Dustin Burke all of Owenton.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday with Bro. Dale Adkins presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
