Virginia Louisa Poulsen Linsenmann Dalley, age 92, died at Good Samaritan Center in Idaho Falls, Friday, June 14, 2013.
She was born July 18, 1920 in Clawson, Idaho a daughter to Frank Ricks and Vivian L. Peacock Ricks. Her father died when she was three and she was raised by her mother and step father, Irving W. Poulsen. She attended school in Clawson graduating from Teton High School.
She married Myron Curtis Linsenmann April 14, 1940 in Clawson, Idaho, they later divorced. She married Elbert Alonzo Dalley January 31, 1969 in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1970.
She worked as a custodian for the LDS Church in Menan, Roberts, Terreton and Hamer retiring at the age of 76. She volunteered as a teachers' aide at Roberts Elementary.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served as Relief Society President and in the Primary Presidency. She served a mission for the church with her husband, Elbert Dalley, in the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania mission, serving mostly in Morgantown, West Virginia.
She enjoyed her family. No one was a stranger to her.
She is survived by her children: Diana (Charles) Ramsey, of Elk Bend, Idaho, Joan (Jay) Calderwood, of Victor, Idaho, Karen (Bill) Galloway, of Ivins, Utah, Myron K. (Louise) Linsenmann, of Idaho Falls, Gene R. (Bette) Linsenmann, of Tetonia, Scott L (Ronalee) Linsenmann, of Nampa, Idaho, and Ann Dalley, of Idaho Falls; 35 grandchildren; 100-great grandchildren; and 37 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Dalley; parents; sisters, Marjorie Ricks and Elaine Ricks; brothers, Morris Ricks and George Ricks; and a son, Bruce Dalley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roberts LDS Church 663 North 2858 East, Roberts. Burial will be in the Market Lake Cemetery in Roberts.
