She was born Aug. 7, 1908, in Woodstock, to Henry and Rose (McIntyre) Eppel. On June 15, 1937, she married Lester Joachim Ebel in Woodstock.
She was a member of Ridgefield Grange, where she was program director for more than 40 years. She was a wonderful baker and cook. Her primary concern always was her family, she baby-sat all of her grandchildren. She was feisty, spunky, had a very dry sense of humor, and always was a lady. She never complained, even through her illness. She looked forward to family gatherings and appreciated what each member of the family did for her.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Anne Kramer of Carpentersville, Barbara Ellen (Dennis) Miazga of Algonquin and Kathleen L. (Robert P.) Wiltberger of Elgin; her grandchildren, Amy and Allison Kramer, Michael (Chris) Miazga, Grant Miazga, Andrew (Tracy) Wiltberger, Jeffrey (Erica) Wiltberger and Christine (Peter) Brown; her great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Miazga, Andrew Joseph Wiltberger, Alexander Wiltberger, Emmet Brown and Ida Rose Brown; a great-nephew, Alan (Ann Marie) Brown of Woodstock; her devoted caregiver, Stella Villareal of Crystal Lake; and her lifelong friend, Karla Pace of Crystal Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester, in 2003; her son-in-law, Frank Kramer; her sister, Florence Brown; her brother, Irving Eppel; and her nephew, Eugene Brown.
