John A. Truman died yesterday at his home at Grandview. He was born sixty-four years ago in Platte County, Missouri and had lived in Jackson County sixty' years.
For several years he had served as overseer of Road District No 30 in the vicinity of Grandview, under appointment by the county court.
About two weeks ago Mr. Truman underwent an operation at the Swedish Hospital in this city and a week ago he was taken to his home.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Matti Truman; by two sons Harry and Vivian Truman; a daughter Mary Jane Truman; by two sisters Mrs. Joseph T Noland of Independence and Mrs. Rochester Colgan of Fairland Heights and a brother William Truman at Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home and the burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery
