MARY ELIZABETH O'BRIEN DISNEY ~
Beloved wife of Charles Elias Disney and Mother of Charles Roy "Charlie" Disney.
Mary was born on Christmas Day, Wednesday, December 25, 1940 and Charlie was born on Easter Sunday, April 6, 1969. Mary's parents were Sean Patrick O'Brien and Aofie Mary O'Brien.
Sadly, Mary and her son Charlie passed from this life as the result of an auto accident.
Mary passed away on Saturday, August 5, 1972 and then Charlie passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 1972.
Mary's husband was Charles Elias Disney and he is the son of Raymond Arnold Disney and Meredith A. Disney. Charles Elias Disney is a nephew of Walt Disney (Walter Elias Disney).
Mary Elizabeth taught elementary school children in grades first through fifth and she would always be bringing interesting things to class to share with her students. She would spend extra time helping children who had difficulty with reading and she established a wonderful library with so many great books that encouraged her students to want to learn and to read and to broaden their learning experiences!
Mary Elizabeth loved her family and friends and she was always doing such kind things for everyone! Her family was everything to her and she taught Charlie to love everyone! She really loved to bake and at Christmas she made literally thousands of cookies that she boxed and gave away to her family and friends and her Church, and she would visit retirement homes and bring some extra cheer with her cookies and her very lovely presence.
She loved vacation times and one of her very favorite places to vacation was in Minnesota on Crosslake, Whitefish, and Gull Lakes where her family had annual reunions each August. She loved to visit Ireland where her parents resided and are interred.
She was a wonderful Mother to Charlie Roy, and she and husband Charles Elias spent a good part of every day with Charlie when they would regularly take him to visit elderly friends and family. Birthdays were so much fun with Mary Elizabeth and she made them so special for the one celebrating their special day.
She was quite active in her Roman Catholic Parish where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School classes from the time she was a teenager through to the end of her life.
