Married second Herbert Eugene Woodard on 11 October 1969.
Mrs. Christine Woodard, 82 of Seymour passed away early Sunday morning at her residence surrounded by her loving Husband and family.
Born November 12, 1930 in Sturgeon, Kentucky; she was the daughter of the late Johnnie and Mattie (Ross) Brewer. On October 11, 1969 in Seymour, she became the loving wife of Herb Woodard, who survives.
Christine was the greatest mother to: Eugene (Sandy) Summer, Verna (Richard) Harder, Teresa Shirley, Brenda Clark and step-mother to; Rita (Jerry) Davis, who all survive. She was an awesome grandmother to eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, who all survive. Christine is also survived by a brother Verlon (Buster) Brewer.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Christine had retired, after many year of service, from the Seymour Community Schools as a custodian at Margaret Brown Elementary School.
Christine was a member of the FirstUnitedMethodistChurch in Seymour. In the larger Seymour community, Christine was a lifetime member of the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW. Christine became a super friend to many people.
Funeral services for Christine will be Thursday November 14, 2013 at 1:30 at the Voss Chapel with Sandy Cooper officiating; burial will follow at RiverviewCemetery in Seymour. Family and Friends may call at the Voss Chapel on Wednesday November 13, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM and on Thursday after 12 noon till time of the service.
Memorials may be written in Christine's memory to the FirstUnitedMethodistChurch in Seymour or RileyHospital in Indianapolis.
