Merz, Ann Forster (nee Burke) Age 70 of Excelsior. On Friday February 25, 2011 Mana died suddenly at home from the unexpected failure of an overworked and loving heart. She lived life on her own terms with a passion for family and friends. She truly made everyone in her life feel special and profoundly loved. Full of acceptance, empathy and laughter, she made an ever welcoming home. She spent her last days enjoying her beloved "River Camp" in Gordon, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by brother Robert Burke, first husband John G. Forster, son Michael G. Forster and son-in-law John G. Sather. Ann leaves behind an ocean of broken hearts including: loving husband Thomas J. Merz; children: Ann Forster and Jeff Page, Joanne Forster (daughter-in-law), Katy and Paul Connors, Burke and Jill Forster, Jenny and Deacon Warner; stepdaughters: Ann and Mike Carr, Elizabeth and Chuck Mooty, Maria and Jon Sampson, Lucia and Dave Stuessi, Johanna and Jim Zavoral; beloved grandchildren: Colette (fiancé Lucas Edington) and Lila Page, Colin, Molly, and Finnegan Forster, Emilyjohn and Sara Connors, Drew and Maeve Forster, Grover and Mikey Warner, Tommy, Lucia and Timmy Carr, John, Paige and Will Mooty, Jake, Jill and Kate Sampson, Jack, Matt and Maria Stuessi, Mary, Jimmy, Simon and Louie Zavoral; precious great granddaughter Lucy Ann Danger Edington; brother: Martin Burke Jr.; sisters- in-law: Barbara Forster and Gayle Brinly; and innumerable relatives and friends.
