BETTY BAILEY, a resident of Green Forest, Arkansas, was born March 05, 1929 in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of Phylemon George and Clara Elizabeth (Perry) Taylor. She departed this life Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Fayetteville, Arkansas with family by her side, at the age of 85 years.

Betty was a member of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church in Green Forest. She volunteered for Mercy Hospital Thrift Store in Green Forest and loved her grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, John Bailey and wife Kim and Wayne Bailey all of Green Forest, AR; one daughter, Judy and husband Jim Knox of Green Valley, AZ; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; one sister, Claudia May of Riverside, CA; one brother, Ed Taylor and wife Barbara of Riverside, CA; and a host of other family and friends.

In April 1946, Betty was united in marriage with Luther Bailey who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, Phylemon and Clara Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Mary Bailey; seven brothers and sisters; one daughter, Barbara McDaniel; and one grandson, Jimmy Sinquefield.

No visitation. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Bill Wyatt officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
