Pfc. U.S. Marine Corps, {MC2322823}, Vietnam War-Pfc. Goossens died of his wounds from small arms fire on 9-1-1967 while serving as a Rifleman with Co. G of the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.


Pfc. Goossens is the son of Mr. Raymond Goossens of 4025 West 25th Street, Chicago, Illinois, & Mrs. Dorothy Bonnar of 805 North Lavergne Street Chicago, Illinois, and there is one other step-brother, William Bonnar of 13701 South Elm Street, Orland Park, Illinois.


Mr. Goossens enlisted with the Marines in Chicago on 8-26-1966.


Awards: Purple Heart Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
