Mrs. Sarah Jane Rehmel died at 3:45 a. m. today at her home, 221 Michigan avenue. Death terminated a lingering illness. Mrs. Rehmel was born in Tuscarawas county, Ohio, Oct 4, 1865, and was married to E. F. Rehmel at Washington, Iowa, Dec. 24, 1892. He preceded, her In death seven years ago. She was a member of the Yeoman and Pocahontas lodges.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ida DuPrez, Mrs. Alma Seitz, and Mrs. Maude Berkenbile, all of Davenport; and Mrs. Bertha Berg of Muscatine; two sisters, Mrs. William Custer of Washington, Iowa, and Mrs. William Finkbiner, of Toledo, Ohio; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The body was removed to the Nissen & Hartwig mortuary and returned to the late home, where services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday. Burial will be made in Fairmount cemetery.
