He worked for the Public Service Company of Colorado for over 32 years. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. He was a Master Woodworker; loved to play golf and watch the Denver Broncos.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bonnie Johannsen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sons, Scott Johannsen of Denver Colorado; Kurt Johannsen and wife Marilyn of Speedway, Indiana; one daughter, Suzette Cachilli; step-sons, Randy Smith of Clearwater Florida, Timothy Smith of Denver, Colorado; step-daughters, Melinda Lehmann of Houston, Texas, Laurie Gallegos and husband David of Denver, Colorado, Alice E. Chapman and husband, Duane of Honolulu, Hawaii; three sisters, Elsie Coplea, Jean Peterson and Florence Custer all of Illinois; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas with Pastor Jeff Reed officiating.
