—Mrs. Richard Preston, aged 64 years, died at her late home in Stanley Friday afternoon, August 15, 1919. The deceased was a life long resident of this village and for the past five years has been confined to her home by illness. She was a devoted and loving wife and possessed a winning personality which won for her a host of friends. She is survived by her husband, Richard Preston; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Moore, Mrs. John Moore, Mrs. Albert Moore, all of Aloquin, and Mrs. Owen Melious, of Stanley; two sons, Frank Preston, of Geneva, and Grover Preston, of this village; three sisters, Mrs. John Fake of Gorham, Mrs. Henry Smith, of Hall, and Mrs. Charles Burtiss, of Seneca, and three brothers, William Pitt, of Canandaigua, Edward Pitt, of Sacramento, California, David Pitt, of Colorado. The funeral took place from her late home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. A. B. Temple officiating. Burial was at Gorham cemetery.
