Mrs. Myrtie Cocanougher Inman, 85, of Danville, died at 12:05 a,m, Thursday, March 26, 1970, at Ephraim McDowell Memorial hospital, where she had been a patient one week.
Mrs. Cocanougher (sic) was a sister of Mrs. Bobby Rose of Lebanon.
A native of Washington County, born August 12, 1884, she was a widow of W. T. Inman. She had lived in Danville since 1926 and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Briscoe Inman, director of Athletics at Centre College; Bill, Danville, Elmer of Perryville, and W. J. Inman, North Vernon, Ind.; to daughters, Mrs. Howard Cocanougher, Springfield, and Mrs. Fred Driesler, of Cicinnati, Ohio; a step-daughter, Mrs. Cleo Watts, Perryville; three sisters, Mrs. Rose, Mrs. Maggie Rogers and Mrs. Zena Crain, of Perryville, 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, by the pastor, the Rev. Odell Leigh. Burial was in Bethlehem Church Cemetery, Washington Count.
The body was at Stith Funeral Home.
