Balistrieri, Joseph P. Born to Life September 8, 1940 -Born to Eternal Life October 25, 2010, in Milwaukee, WI. Beloved son of the late Frank and the late Antonina (nee Alioto). Dear fiancée of Jelena Zielinski. Dear brother of John (Deborah) Balistrieri, Catherine (George) Busateri and the late Benedetta. Loving uncle and godfather of Francesco Joseph Balistrieri. Preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Benedetta (nee Picciurro) Balistrieri and John and Catherine Alioto, and great-grandfather Francesco Balistrieri. Further survived by many other relatives and friends. Joseph graduated from St. Rita's grade school in 1954. He attended Marquette University High School graduating in 1958, the University of Notre Dame graduating in 1962 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Law from which he received a Juris Doctorate in 1965. Joseph was admitted to practice law before the Circuit and County Courts of the State of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin State Court of Appeals, and the Wisconsin State Supreme Court. Joseph was also admitted to practice law before the United States Feral District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Northern District of Illinois and the Western District of Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Joseph was a member of the Monogram club of the University of Notre Dame where he lettered twice in track events. Joseph re-organized the La Societa di San Giuseppe and served as its President. Also, Joseph was a charter member or The Justinian Society of Lawyers, Milwaukee Chapter which he organized in 1977 and a member of the Addolorata Society. Special Thanks to Dr. G.G. Darien and Dr. Abhay K. Jella and his team of medical professionals at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation Friday, October 29, 2010, at the Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Old St. Mary's Church, 876 N. Broadway, at 10:00 AM. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
