Travis Wayne Mofield, 36, of 36141 U.S. Highway One South, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m., at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church in Robbins, with the Rev. Michael Parenti officiating. Burial will follow at a later date.

Travis was a Moore County native and a carpenter in the construction business. He loved to fish and hunt, and also loved to go 4-wheeling, riding dirt bikes, and he was an avid NASCAR fan.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Marvin and Margie Moore, as well as paternal grandparents, Dallas and Bertha Mofield.

He is survived by his parents, Dallas “Buck” Mofield, and his mother, Virginia “Ann” Moore Mofield, of the home; brothers, Michael Mofield and his wife, Shannon, of Riverview, Fl., and Keith Mofield, of the home.

Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel Christian Church, and other times at his home.
