Dorthy Jean Park, age 81, of Wheaton, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015, in Cox-Monett Hospital.
She was born July 25, 1933, in Cicero, Indiana, the daughter of John O. and Mabel (Siscoe) Anderson. On October 20, 1951, in Stevenson, Washington, she married Wallace Raymond "Bud" Park, who preceded her in death on July 27, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are five children, Wallace "Bud" Park and his wife, Debra of Wheaton, Missouri; Terri Lynn Lee and her husband, Rick of Lake Forest, California; Debbie Kay Arvidson and her husband, Wayne of Marblehead, Massachusetts; Barbara Sue "Barbie" Feld and her husband, Stephen of Simi Valley, California; and Robert Raymond "Bobby" Park of Hemet, California; fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Dorthy grew up and received her education in Arkansas. She and her husband had lived in California and Oregon before moving to Wheaton to make their home. She was a proud mom, loving grandmother and great grandmother. She always said "I love my kids so much". She was blessed with many friends. Some of her favorite things to do were visiting with family, going out to eat and going on scenic drives, even though she didn't drive. She always said "keep a tidy house because you never know when Jesus will knock at your door". Her house was always open for anyone that needed to talk or just a place to stay. She had a generous heart, was a loving wife, precious mom and grandma and was loved by all.
