Doris Hibbert Groot passed away August 13th, just a month shy of her 93rd birthday.

Born on September 14, 1922 in Parker, Idaho, a daughter of Thomas Neild and Leolin Faye Johnson Hibbert.

Doris grew up in Parker and St. Anthony and graduated from High School and Ricks Collage. She married Eugene Groot on September 20, 1943 in Pocatello. After the War, they moved to Chicago for Gene to go to accounting school on the GI Bill. There they establish their home; and their daughter, Paula, was born. They lived there for over 20 years.

Eventually Doris moved back to Rexburg where she "made a good life". Her "good life" was made so by the many, many wonderful friends she had and the loving wards she lived in. Her family, especially her daughter who lived so far away, wish to express their deepest gratitude for all you did to make her life interesting, easier, and full of love.

Doris is survived by her daughter Paula Nickerson, four grandchildren, Steven Nickerson, Melanie Frost, Michele Campbell, and Eric Nickerson, sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, and a loved nephew, Curtis (Jody) Howard and a loved niece, Dianna (Kel) Rowland. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her brother and 4 sisters.

No services will be held. Arrangements were under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
