Irene Michalik, 94, of Summit Hill, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing Home, Lehighton.
She worked in a local garment factory.
Born in Summit Hill, she was a daughter of the late John and Victoria (Lukasik) Michalik.
She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Summit Hill, has been a member of the Ladies Sodality.
Irene was a current member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill.
Surviving is three sisters, Mary Krutsick of Phillipsburg, N.J., Victoria Michalik of Summit Hill, and Teresa Neupauer of Whitehall; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Emeric Michalik; and a sister, Elizabeth "Elsie" Porambo.
Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill. Interment, SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday in the church.
