LEWISTON - Irene Yvonne Bonneau, 94, formerly of 6 Manning Avenue, Lewiston, and a residend of Montello Heights for the past 10 months, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016, after a brief illness at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Born in Lewiston on July 11, 1922, she was the daughter of Ernest and Yvonne Roy Desjardins.

Educated in local schools, she attended Cours Superieur and Acme Business College.

On August 5, 1946, she married Euclide Bonneau, and together they raised four children.

Prior to being a homemaker, she worked as a clerk at the Registry of Deeds.

A member of Holy Family Church, Prince of Peace Parish, she was active in the Ladies of St. Anne, RCIA, and Faith Formation. She also belonged to the Y-ettes at the YWCA, and supported St. Martin de Porres.

Survivors include three sons, Roland and wife, Diane, of Lewiston, the Rev. Normand Bonneau, OMI, of Ottawa, Canada, and Donald of Lewiston; a daughter, Constance and husband Gilbert, LaPointe, of Auburn; two sisters, Cecile Gagnon of Spotsylvania, Va., and Jeanne Cote of Auburn; three grandchildren, Dawna and husband, Mark Hall, of Portland, Chis Bonneau and wife, Jihee, of Irvine, Calif.; and Karen and husband, Michael Stivaletti, of South Portland; three great-grandchildren, Maya and Molly Stivaletti and Renee Bonneau; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 69 years, Euclide; and her brother, Raymond Desjardins.

BONNEAU - Irene Y., 94, of Lewiston, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, from 3-6pm. Services will be Tuesday, November 22, at 11am, Holy Family Church. Interment at St. Peter's Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Prince of Peace Parish, 16 St. Croix Street, Lewiston, ME 04240, or to the charity of Your choice. ALBERT & BURPEE FUNERAL HOME.
