Jessie “Gene” Stephens, 77, of Plant City, Florida, born on December 12, 1939, entered into eternal rest on February 15, 2017. He was a lifetime farmer, and he was an active member of Life Church at Fishhawk Church of God. He loved his family, and he enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, children and 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 20 at 4:00 P.M. at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S, Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 P.M. Private committal at Cedars of Lebanon, Inglis, Florida.
