Louis T. Marino passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017, while surrounded by his loving family at the golden age of 83. Devoted father of Dino (Patty) Marino. Loving son of the late Peter and the late Pauline, nee Castiglia, Marino. Fond grandfather and great-grandfather. Brother of Robert (Antoinette) Marino. Dear uncle and great uncle to many. Louis was an honorably discharged veteran from the United States Army. He served his country from 1953 to 1955 during which time he received the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Louis loved tending to his tomato and vegetable gardens and also loved smoking a good cigar while having a glass of homemade wine with his son and friends. But mostly he loved spending time surrounded by his loving family. Family and friends are to gather for the Funeral on Friday, March 10th, 2017, beginning at 9:30am at Russo's Hillside Chapels, 4500 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL. A chapel service of Christian burial will be celebrated promptly at 10:30am. Interment to immediately follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 from 3:00pm until 9:00pm.
