Commander Bourke has the distinction of being the only Canadian naval V.C., receiving the coveted decoration for his conspicuous daring and devotion to duty during the Zeebrugge raid. The ceremony took place at the residence of the bride's sister, South Vancouver, Rev. Walter J. Agabob officiating.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in her traveling suit and hat, and was attended by her sister, Mrs. W.J. Agabob. Commander and Mrs. Bourke will tour New Zealand.
