Miss Ann Gallaway, 67, passed away in Vancouver General Hospital on June 8 following a short illness. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Gallaway, she was born in Ontario and came west in 1892. She attended the Estevan Public School, took her high school training in Regina.
She first taught school at Carnduff and later went to Weyburn. After attending the Royal Conservatory of Music at Toronto, she went to Saskatoon where she continued to teach school until she retired in 1945. At that time she went to Vancouver to make her home.
Ann is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Jane Ross, Mrs. T.A. Torgeson, Gordon Gallaway, and John H. Gallaway.
