Deborah was a daughter of John Croker and Frances Read. She was raised from age 9 by her Aunt Deborah, (Mrs. Benjamin Franklin) after the death of her mother.
She and her husband, William Dunlap had five children together-
Francis Franklin Dunlap 1756 - May 1776. Died a chaplain in the 6th Regiment marines, in the British Service.
Benjamin Franklin Dunlap 1758 - 1783, died in S. Carolina, a portable pressman in service of Gen. Nathanael Greene.
Deborah Dunlap Robinson, who married in 1784, John Robinson (Jr) of Green Branch in Middlesex County, Virginia,
Fanny, and
Sarah Franklin Dunlap.
