Mary Hundertmark Capka was born November 24, 1922 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and a member of St. Thomas More Royal Catholic Church in Atlanta, Georgia. She died at age 78 on Tuesday, December 12, 2000 in Atlanta. She was preceded by her husband, Jerry George Capka. Survivors included son and daughter-in-law of Atlanta, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law of Fort McPherson, Georgia; son of Redondo Beach, California; daughter-in-law of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters: Frances and brother-in-law, Frank Barnes of Alpharetta, Georgia and Sister Monica Hundertmark of Baltimore, Maryland; one brother, Edwin and sister-in-law, Hildegarde Hundertmark of Silver Spring, Maryland. Services were held at West Point with Lieut. Colonel Vince Burns officiating. Interment was at the USMA Post Cemetery at West Point. Arrangements were by William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main Street in Highland Falls, New York.
