Mrs. Edith Koerper
Mrs. Edith (Miller) Koerper, 84, of 4715 North 13th Street, Philadelphia, former resident of Tremont, died on Monday after being in ill health for the past three years.
She was the widow of the late Lewis Koerper, who died in 1926.
For many years Mrs. Koerper conducted a boarding house in the Jones building on East Main Street, Tremont. She left here 20 years ago to make her home in Philadelphia. While in Tremont she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Franke, with whom she lived, and Reba, wife of J.C. Middour, of Waynesboro, Pa.; two grandchildren, Phyllis, wife of Charles Otto, formerly of Tremont, also living in Philadelphia, and Sonya, wife of Major Robert Bond of Alexandria, Virginia; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning at the Corson Myers Funeral Home, Philadelphia. Interment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery, Tremont.
