He was born in Springfield and was employed by Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. for 18 years.
Mr. Bridgewater was a veteran of World War II and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ethel; one son, Donald, of Springfield; three daughters, Peggy, of Springfield; Mrs. Mary Gray, of Springfield; and Mrs. Linda Kennett, of Rantoul; and four grandchildren.
Services were at Bisch Memorial Home.
Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
