A funeral service will be held Friday, July 12, at 11 AM at Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene, 7457 W. Lake Rd. Abilene, TX 79601.
Bob was born on June 25, 1938 in Menard, TX., to the late Lonnie Keith and Rachel Keele Keith.
He served his country in the United States Marine Corps.
After his service Bob went on to own his own business and worked as a carpenter.
He enjoyed attending and supporting his kids and grandkids sporting and school events.
Bob also participated in the Chili Bowl Cookoff every year and was known to enjoy his sweets, especially cookies.
He was a longtime member of Southern Hills Church of Christ in Abilene.
Bob is survived by his children, Ashley Hernandez (Keith), Racquell Beck (Jimmy), Michelle Young, Lonnie Keith (Yolanda), Bobbie Keith Jr., Terry Delarosa; Step-Children, Sheresa Acker (Chris), Carressa Cherry; Sister, Barbara; grandchildren, Kendalyn Hernandez, Kohen Hernandez, Dominga Owen, Teresa Lewis, TJ Sherrin, Kassie Watts, Sherri Sherrin, Chase Sherrin, Mellissa Killingsworth, Eric Keith, Savannah Dorris, Julia Delarosa, Bubba Delarosa, Lisa Keith, Christi Jordan, Shaun Cherry, Patience Woolwine, and Denton Acker.
Bob was also preceded in death by a son, Miguel Keith, KIA Vietnam, Awarded Congressional Medal of Honor; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hendrick Hospice.
