Cameroonian Statesman. He served as the fourth Prime Minister of Cameroon from 26 April 1991 to 9 April 1992. Born in the port city of Garoua, he was appointed as Cameroon's Minister of Agriculture in 1984 before becoming Prime Minister. After his time as Prime Minister, he became the National Director of the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) until 1 January 2008, serving past the official retirement age of 60 because BEAC President Jean-Félix Mamalepot elected to keep him in that post another five years.
