Srvices will be 2 p.m. Wednesday (August 7) at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bode, with the Rev. Harold Naig officiating. Burial will be in St. Olaf Cemetery, Bode. Visitation is after 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home, Humboldt.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Selma Opheim, Humboldt; and nieces and nephews.
Esther Opheim was born Dec. 22, 1902, at Bode, and graduated from high school there. She taught in rural schools and made her home in Bode her whole life. She did housework and cared for children in Bode. She had lived at Humboldt Care Center North for 14 years.

Esther Josephine Opheim, the daughter of L.K. and Louise (Gangestad) Opheim, was born and reared at Bode and graduated from Bode High School. She taught school in the rural schools until returning to Bode. She lived there for many years doing housework and caring for children in homes in the community. She had resided at the Humboldt Care Center North for 14 yers and passed away there on the afternoon of August 4, at the age of 88 years.
Esther Opheim was a longtime member of the St. Olaf Lutheran Church at Bode. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Selma Opheim, and nieces and nephews.
