Marjorie Opal Bechtol

WARSAW: Marjorie Opal Bechtol, 79, of 20868 SR 79, died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at her residence.

She was born January 8, 1931 in Belmont Co. to the late George D. and Freda L. (Powell) Crum.

She was a cook at the restaurant in New Castle for 16 years.

She loved to crochet, often giving away items she made to those in need. She also loved gardening and spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

She is survived by three sons, Donald (Jean) Bechtol of Tyndal, Doug (Wendy) Bechtol of Las Vegas, NV, and George Bechtol of Warsaw; two daughters, Marge (David) Hindel of Dresden, and Mona (Chuck) Russell of Warsaw; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a sister, Vivian (Eugene) Finley of Coshocton; and a very good friend, Joretta Martin of Walhonding.

In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by a son, Daniel Bechtol; a granddaughter, Johnnie Bechtol; and a sister, Alice Richard.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Ron Shearn officiating. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. prior to service time.
