Kenneth Lee Ridenour, 64, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2020. He went to sleep peacefully, surrounded by those he loved. He was welcomed at the gates of Heaven by his Father & Mother, Lawrence & Myrtle Ridenour; Brother Dennis Ridenour; and two infant grandchildren, Aspen and Dillon.

Born the second son of six children on June 14, 1955 in Belleville, IL. Kenny was undoubtedly the feistiest member of the Ridenour family. He didn’t back down from a challenge and wasn’t scared of a full day’s work. Mr. Ridenour served in the United States Army from 1973-1976. During his military service he spent a tour in Germany.

Kenny fathered five strong men: Kenneth Jr.; Michael, wife Tracy; Travis, wife April; Tommy; and Josh, wife Heather. He had fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He loved to enjoy life with those he loved. His most favorite past-times were shooting guns with his boys or fishing with his grandkids. Mr. Ridenour raised his family with tenacity and resilience.

A skilled craftsman and business owner, Kenny operated Ridenour’s Masonry. He left his mark all over Southwest Missouri and his handiwork can be seen throughout the region. He was especially proud of the white brick doves and praying hands at Ridgley Assembly of God. Kenny is now part of the Lord’s masonry crew, preparing homes in Heaven.

Graveside memorial services with military honors were held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Rocky Comfort Cemetery in Rocky Comfort.
