" Bob is survived by his wife, Jan Kraner, of 61 years; his children and their spouses, Rob and Courtney Kraner & Cliff and Dena Kraner; and his grandchildren, Austin and Erinne Edwards, Keaton, Kylie, and Koen Kraner, and Annie, Brady, and Kinsey Kraner. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Austin.

Bob was born on October 2, 1933 in Los Fresnos, TX, to parents Eugene and Lillian. Bob grew up in Los Fresnos and Lampasas. He attended Abilene Christian University and completed his B.S.Ed. in 1954 and M.S.Ed. in 1959. Bob went on to earn his Ed.D. from North Texas State University in 1963. While completing his education, Bob worked as a teacher, administrator, served two years of active duty in Korea as a member of the United States Army and married his beautiful wife, Jan.

Bob was a great family man, and loving husband & father. He was deeply involved in his church and community. His greatest joy in life were his grandkids. He also enjoyed playing golf and never missed an opportunity to go out to dinner with family and friends. Bob will be remembered as a strong Christian man and a shining example to others. He lived life to the fullest and we have all benefited from Bob's positive influence."
