Baptized Margaret A. Kirchner, she graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1925. She entered the Order of Mercy novitiate shortly after graduating, and took her initial vows in 1927. She worked in the x-ray department of Mercy Hospital for 25 years. She was later assigned to various hospitals in the South, including St. Martin DePorres Hospital in Mobile, AL., and St. Joseph's Infirmary in Atlanta, GA. She spent her last five years at Mount St. Agnes.
Originally interred at the Mount St. Agnes Convent cemetery, she was reinterred at Woodlawn when the property was sold to USF&G in 1982.
