The funeral for Mrs Annie Mae Stroud Elkins of 108 Paris Cout, Chester S.C. was conducted at 2 PM Saturday, July 26, 1997 from the Faith and Love Christian Center with the Rev Wylie Frederick officiating. Interment was made in Chester Memorial Gardens with Wrights Home for Funerals in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Elkins, 83, died Thursday, July 24, 1997 at Chester County Hospital, Chester, SC. She was born in Kershaw SC on Mar 23, 1914. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Johnny Stroud and Mrs. Laura Dease Stroud. She was the widow of Mr. Rufus Elkins. Mrs. Elkins was a homemaker and a retired employee of Springs Industries. She is survived by a son, Earl Elkins of Chester:a daughter, Mrs. Jan Marshall of Chester; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Minnie Stroud Bright of Chester SC. The family received friends from 7 PM until 9 PMJuly 25 1997, Friday, in the Chapel of Wrights Home for Funerals in Chester SC.
"Aunt Annie Mae" was a good Christian lady with a heart of pure gold. She loved her family and was always doing for them and giving of herself in special ways. Her family misses her greatly but knows that she is walking with Jesus now.
