Dr. George Michael Meyer passed away after a brief illness from a rare neuroendocrine, cancerous thymus tumor. He was a dedicated top Surgical Oncologist for over 30 years with the group, Falcao Merchant Meyer, which was later renamed Maryland Surgeons. He practiced at both Howard County General Hospital and St. Agnes Hospital. He graduated from Emory University and The University of Maryland, College Park. He completed a Surgical Oncology fellowship at Tulane University Medical School and graduated from Oral Roberts University Medical School. He completed his surgical residency at St. Agnes Hospital. Dr. Meyer always went above and beyond for his patients and gave support to anyone in need. He respected his colleagues and always conducted himself in an upstanding, kind, soft spoken conscientious manner which was evident to all who knew him. To him, it was an honor and a privilege to be a surgeon, to take care of his patients, and to work with such respectable physicians and healthcare providers. His manner was always in a way that would immediately make anyone feel comfortable, heard & seen with the utmost importance. Dr. Meyer especially loved his life with his family. He was a caring, loving, and devoted husband of 31 years to his wife Robin and father to his daughter, Brittany, and son, Mike, all of whom he was so proud of and always will be. He was so a blessed, loving, cherished son to his mother, Barbara, and the late Roy Clark and the late George Meyer.
