CORYDON DEMOCRAT OBITUARY – 09/08/1965
Mrs. Anna S. Kochert, resident of Bradford, died at 7:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Nursing Home in Huntingburg. She was 82 years of age and the widow of Peter Kochert. A native of Harrison County, she was the former Anna Weisenberger. Mrs. Kochert was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church at Bradford, St. Ann's Altar Society and the oblate of St. Benedict. The body was at the Kraft Funeral Home in New Albany. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Survivors include five sons, Bernard Kochert, Palmyra, Leonard Kochert, Arizona, Francis Kochert, Lanesville, Harlan and Clemence Kochert, New Salisbury; six daughters, Sister Agatha Marie, OSF, Cincinnati, Sister Seranthica OSF, Oldenburg, Mrs. Evelyn Jacobi, Palmyra, Mrs. Lucille Buechler, New Salisbury, Mrs. Mary Jenkins, Fairborn, Oh., and Mrs. Anna Smith, Dayton, Oh.; a brother Tony Weisenberger, Mississippi, a sister, Mrs. Anna Bauer, New Albany; 40 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
