Artist. Duggie Fields was a pop artist who blended the imagery of cartoons, fashion, and advertising with Dali and Mondrian. Born in Salisbury, he attended Andover Grammar School, Regent Street Polytechnic, and Chelsea School of Art. He went to the United States on scholarship in 1968. His work was shown in solo exhibitions in London, Oxford, New York, Tokyo, and Denmark in the 1970s through 2008. Group exhibitions included showings in London, New York, and Luxembourg in the 1970s through 2000. He designed a poster for Transport for London in 2002. He championed the cause to preserve Earls Court Exhibition Centre from 2013 to 2015. He was celebrated by the British Film Institute FLARE in 2016.
