Sarah Elizabeth Sartor, 79, of Waco, passed away Monday, February 25, 2008. Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 1, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel with burial to follow in Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 29, at the funeral home.

Sarah was born in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, to the late Grady and Elva Ford. As a young person, her family moved to Cleburne, Texas. She spent most of her adult life as a switchboard operator working for many years as an operator at Providence Health Center in Waco. Sarah was extremely dedicated to her volunteer work with Meals On Wheels. She and Garland Sartor were married on her birthday, December 6, 1946, in Ft. Worth and six children were born to this family. They were long-time members of Grace Temple Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland, in 1998; daughters, Stacy Jo and Dorothy Rae Sartor; and her siblings.

Survivors include her sons: John Sartor and wife, Kathy, David Sartor and wife, Donna, Paul Sartor, Grady Sartor Jr., and Shawn Sartor and wife, Elsa; daughter, Judy Sartor; grandchildren: Clint, Michael, Jennifer, Micah, Mark, Travis, Samuel, Jana, Shane, Sally and John David; great-grandchildren: Haley, Meagan, Tommy, Victoria, Tegan and Olivia; other relatives and many friends.
