Betty Jo Prather, 77, passed away Tuesday Feb. 7, 2023. She was born on May 6, 1945 in Williamstown, KY the daughter of the late Joseph and Zula Webster Savage and was also preceded by her siblings, Howard, Joseph Jr., David, Barbara, and Joyce Savage, Wilma Gilreath, Mary Carter, Alice Prather and Shirley Elkins. Betty was a lifelong farmer and housewife and had also worked at Dairy Queen and Superstar Pizza. She enjoyed spending countless hours with her family loving her grand-babies. She loved to sew, crochet and fish.

She is survived by her husband Paul Prather of 61 years, her daughters, Paulette Purnell and Lorrie Prather (Johnnie Tilley), grandchildren, Carrie (Jeffrey) Elliston, Tiffany Purnell (Chris Sexton), Matthew and Jessie Brothers, great grandchildren, William Elliston, Derrika Suttles and Lillian Sexton, her brother Louis Savage, and sister Nelva Thompson.

Visitation will be on Monday Feb. 13, 2023 from 4 to 8pm at the Main Street location of New Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Main St. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery
