Donald E. Bridgewater 75, of Springfield, passed away at 10:50 pm, Monday, May 8, 2023 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born May 31, 1947 in Springfield, to William Edward and Ethel Mae (Kiser) Bridgewater. He is survived by his wife, (Aldridge), whom he married on October 26, 1996.
Also surviving are his children, Donita (Dennis) Province of Missouri and Tina S. (Ted) Bradford of Ohio; five grandchildren, Tia (Chris Johnson) St. Clair, Logan M. Bradford, Jalynn D. Bradford, Sophia A. Ditter and Tyler J. Bradford; one step grandchild, Makayla M. Province; four great grandchildren, Connor M. Johnson, Caiden E. Johnson, Colton R. Johnson and Lela M. Day; one sister, Linda (Bill) Kennett of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy C. Hunt and sister, Mary Ann Bridgewater.
Donald was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He worked for Ford Printing as a Typesetter, and was a member of Eastview Baptist Church.

Graveside Service: Family will host a Graveside Service at 10:00 am, Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Bennie Fisher officiating.
