He began working for the United States Engineers Office in Gasconade County, Missouri when he was still a teenager. He was unemployed by the time he was in his mid-20's.
He was drafted into the armed forces near the end of World War II. He received a pre-induction physical at Jefferson Barracks on 03 Mar 1945, and entered the service on 20 Mar 1945.
After the war, he worked in association with the United States Coast Guard for a time. He was recognized with an award for outstanding efficiency for his work in 1958.
He was the founder of Prince of Peace United Pentecostal Church in St. Louis, Missouri. He served as the pastor there for 31 years. He was the senior pastor of the church when his son, Micky, joined him as pastor.
Aloysius' wife, Helen, passed away in 1999.
He lived until 2003. At the time of his death, he was 78 years and 3 days old.
He was survived by 1 daughter and 1 son-in-law; 2sons and 2 daughters-in-law; 1 step-son; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Aloysius was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Visitation was held on 10 Mar 2003 at the Prince of Peace United Pentecostal Church on Giles in St. Louis. Funeral services were conducted there at 11 a.m. the following morning.
