In Loving Memory of Sarah Bell

Sarah Bell, born on September 29, 1942, entered eternal rest on September 8, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and a life richly lived. Born to Harold Spencer Bell, Sr. and Hazel Pauline Bell, Sarah's journey was marked by unwavering dedication to her family, a spirit of service, and a deep passion for the arts.

Sarah embarked on her educational journey at Virginia Union, where she nurtured her thirst for knowledge and cultivated lasting friendships. Though her time there was brief, it instilled in her a lifelong love for learning and a sense of camaraderie that she cherished throughout her days.

A true patriot, Sarah served honorably for her country as a member of the Army National Guard and US Army Reserves, embodying the ideals of duty and honor. Her commitment to service extended beyond her military duty, as she dedicated herself to caring for her family, namely her mother, as she battled Alzheimer's.

One of Sarah's many talents was her mastery of the piano. Her nimble fingers could effortlessly weave melodies that touched the soul. Her music brought comfort and joy to those fortunate enough to hear her play, leaving a lasting impression on all who were privileged to listen.

A passionate genealogist, Sarah had a special gift for tracing and preserving her family's history. She reveled in the stories of generations past, ensuring that the tapestry of her family's legacy remained vibrant and unbroken for those who would follow.

Sarah's love extended to her furry friends as well. She had an affinity for dogs and found solace and companionship in their presence. During her final months at the nursing facility, she embraced the joy of dog therapy, brightening her own life as well as the lives of those around her.

Sarah's legacy lives on through her surviving family members: her brother, Harold Spencer Bell, Jr.; her sister, Harriet Irene Bell; her cherished nieces and nephews, Nikia Cruse and her husband Moreh Cruse, Jason Bell and his wife Sammiyyah Whitney, Victoria Perrin, Legan Kyles, Janet Perrin, Braddock Kyles, and Aires Kyles. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Noah Bell, Jonah Bell, Aiden Cruse, Isis Cruse, and Braislee Rose Bell-Kyles.

As we bid farewell to Sarah, we remember her as a beacon of strength, kindness, and love. Her legacy will forever inspire us to embrace learning, serve others with compassion, find joy in the arts, and cherish the ties that bind us as family.

The repast will follow at the event room of Sandwiches Unlimited, located at 23 N. Center Street, Orange, NJ, 07050, where a full catered menu will be served (Not Sandwiches).
