Born April 30, 1932, in Jackson County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Thomas Welding and Luella (Day) Welding Peyton.
She was a former manager of Star Approval and formerly worked at R.C.A. She was a member of the Full Gospel Christian Church in Kent, Ohio. She ministered along with her husband, Rev. Carl Brummett, in providing food for the needy.
She is survived by her husband, Rev. Carl L. Brummett, of Bloomington; three sons, Aaron Lloyd Brummett of Bloomington, Leslie Michael Frye of Greene County, Indiana, and Ricky Frye of Bloomington; one daughter, Melody Sue Friedrich of Clearwater, Florida; two stepsons, James Carl Brummett of Indianapolis and Robert Joseph Brummett of Bloomington; two stepdaughters, Zina Marie of Bloomington and Rebecca Ann England of Bedford, Indiana; one half-sister, Louise Morrow of Bloomington; thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pamela Sue Frye, in November 2004; two brothers, Theodore Welding and Troy Welding; and three sisters, Yvonne, Thelma and Janis Kay.
The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Day Funeral Home Chapel, with Kurt Van der Dussen officiating. Entombment will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
