Margaret Irene Mitchell Sparks, 83, of Bloomington, died Tuesday at the Golden Living Center.
Born May 19, 1924, in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Hassell and Lillie (Rogers) Mitchell.
She was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include one daughter, Ann Folck, and her husband, Gary; two granddaughters, Deborah Perryman and her husband, James, and Katie Sheeks and her husband, Robert; five great-grandchildren, Michael Perryman, Brandon Perryman, Alexandria Sheeks, Kaitlyn Sheeks and Angela Sheeks; three sisters, Marie Borton, Jeanette Scott and Betty Smith and her husband, Henry; three brothers, Marvin Mitchell and his wife, Jery, John Mitchell and his wife, Verda, Mike Mitchell and his wife, Beth; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sparks; two sisters, Pearl Miller and Kathryn Reiber; and two brothers, Robert Mitchell and Donald Mitchell.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel. Burial will be at Clear Creek Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard.
