Robert Porterfield Redifer
Born October 05, 1846 in Bath County, Virginia, died October 20, 1922 in Redmond, Oregon. He was the youngest of a family of eleven children, only one of which survives, a brother Jacob Haldaman Redifer of Drain, Oregon, who with his son Luther was here for the funeral.
When one year old he moved with his parents to Missouri. He was married to Adella Hayes, January 08, 1882 in Hickory Co, Missouri. In 1893 he traveled across the plains to Roseburg ,Oregon and resided in that vicinity until 1915. Since that time he has made his home in Redmond. He was converted and joined the church when 13 years old and tried in every way to be a true Christian until the day of death.
He was the father of five children. The two oldest, George Kenny and Rebecca Julia have passed on.
The wife and three younger sons, Robert Arthur of Sausalito, California, John Chesley and Laurie Bentley of Redmond survive.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the family residence, Rev.C.Brown assisted by Rev. J. Cabeen conducting the service and interment was made in the Redmond cemetery.

Robert was twin to his sister Rebecca Rachel "Becky" Redifer.
