TOM D. BLAKEMORE
August 17, 1928 - February 24, 2004

Funeral services for Tom D. Blakemore were held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2004 at the Hart Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roger Wood officiating. Interment followed at the Stilwell City Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.

Tom D. Blakemore, son of William Ray and Una Mae (Ables) Blakemore was born August 17, 1928 in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He departed this life February 25, 2004 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, six months and eight days.

Tom retired from military service in the U. S. Army receiving the World War II Victory Medal, Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Tom was of the Methodist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and three brothers, Glen, Wayne and J. D. Blakemore.

Survivors include his wife Ell Dee of the home in Cushing, Okla. two sons, Gary Ray of Sand Springs, Okla. and Tommy Dale Blakemore, Jr. of Tulsa, Okla. one daughter, Linda Norman and husband, Dutch of Moody, Texas; three step-daughters, Esther Burgess, Judy Tinsley and Johnnie Shannon all of Cushing, Okla; Two brothers, Bill Blakemore and wife, Dorothy of Bartlesville, Okla. and James Blakemore of Fayetteville, Ark.; one sister, Etta May Watson of Las Vegas, Nev. seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren.
