Lula Mae Lynch Vaughan died 16 October 1979 at the age of 95 years, 7 months and 24 days, in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital, Huntsville, Arkansas. She was born 22 Feb 1884 at Clifty, Arkansas, the youngest daughter of Jacob and Cynthia Ann Hubbard Lynch. On October 6, 1901 she became the bride of John Douglas Vaughan. They spent the majority of their married life in the Clifty area and became the parents of eleven children. She is preceded in death by her husband and six children: Mrs. Lionel (Laura Leona) Sharp, James Everett Vaughan, Mrs. George (Bonnie Zelma) Twist, Ewell Jacob "Buck" Vaughan, Mrs. Efton (Mary Bell) Rutledge, and Eugene Walter Vaughan; four brothers, William, Calvin, Dee Falla and Derry Walter Lynch and one sister, Ora Olive Lynch. She has left to mourn her passing two sons and three daughters, Clyde Leonard Vaughan of Santa Fe Springs, California, Lionel D. Vaughan of Clifty, Mrs. Otto (Crystal Ona) Haley of Beaverton, Oregon, Mrs. Noah (Leeta Irene) Hoffman and Mrs. Howard (Beatrice Maxine) Harper of Portland, Oregon. Also surviving are 39 grandchildren, 100 great-grandchildren and 55 great-great grandchildren as well as a large number of nieces, nephews and friends.
