He had operated the Lima agency, in partnership with his son, Walter, for about 25 years.

He was married on Christmas Day in 1892 to Nora Hassenier, who survives, along with the son and one daughter, Vivian, both residents of Wapakoneta. Other survivors include three half-brothers, John Breedlove of Alger, James Breedlove of Sacramento, Calif., and Oscar Breedlove of Lima, and two half-sisters, Mrs. John Faulkner of Sacramento and Mrs. Virgil Shaver of West Mansfield, O.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Heinl and Swonguer funeral home at Wapakoneta, with Rev. George W. Weissling, pastor of the First English Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in the mausoleum at Greenlawn cemetery.
