On Monday in Uniontown. Pa. occurred the death of Clinton L. Morss, father of Attorney George F. Morss, of this village, at the advanced age of nearly 84 years. He had been declining in health for the past three years from complications incident to old age, and for two months prior to his death had been confined to the bed.

Mr. Morss was a native of Harpersville, Delaware county, in which place he was born April 3, 1828, and therefore would have been 84 years of age had he lived until yesterday. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Horace Morss.

In 1859 Mr. Morss came from Jeffersonville, Sullivan county to this town and located in Westdale. In 1860 he launched in the tannery business, and for sixteen years the industry was successfully carried on by the C. L. Morss & Co. Mr Morss' partner being his brother-in-law the late Edgar Delamater, who died in Oneonta last November. Since 1880 Mr. Morss had resided in Uniontown. His wife, who was formerly Helen M. Delamater, died in 1885. Of the seven children born to them four have passed away. The surviving children are three sons, G. F. Morss of this village, F. H. Morss of New York and Edgar D. Morss of Donora Pa.

Mr. Morss had many staunch friends in this vicinity among the older residents and all sincerely regret to learn of his death.

The remains arrived in Camden yesterday afternoon, following funeral services held at his late home, and were taken to the residence of his son in Second street where at 9 o'clock this morning brief services were conducted. The Rev. R. L. Rae of the Congregational church officiated. The body was taken to Westdale for burial beside the remains of his wife and children.
